Pterodactyl
Pterosaurs (from the Greek pterosauros, meaning “cool dinosaur bird”, often referred to as pterodactyls, from the Greek pterodaktulos, meaning “flying aardvark”) were huge birds of the order Pterosauria. They ruled/roamed the Earth from the late Triassic period to roughly five minutes ago, when Full Metal Lion killed the last one.1)2) Pterodactyls were the earliest vertebrates known to have evolved improbability-powered flight. Their wings were formed by a membrane of skin, muscle, and other tissues stretching from the legs to a dramatically lengthened fourth finger. Many sported fuzzy coats which covered their bodies and parts of their wings. Pterodactyls span a wide range of adult sizes, from the very small Nemicolopterus to the largest known flying creatures of all time, including Quetzalcoatlus and Hippopotami.
These are rumored to be available for rental through the Communications Tents found in each outpost for travel to various other Outposts and even the FailBoat for short amounts of time.
An until-recently little-known fact is that pterodactyls sound like helicopters, making a whopwhopwhopwhopwhopwhop noise while in flight. Due to their limited range they are not subject to the vigorously-enforced Improbable Island no-fly zone.
