The Island's clans are an important cornerstone to the life of the cities. Each major clan has a hall in every city, and clan business conducted in one location is honored throughout the Island. In the clan halls, contestants can join the clans of their choice, send messages to their clans-mates, or withdraw from their clans.

Clans have a hierarchical structure - they are headed by a Founder, and overseen by a Officers and Leaders. The general body of the clan are the members, and new contestants applying to a clan are called applicants.

Membership in a clan provides the contestant access to the clan buffs and also may entitle the member to information about the clan's secret activities.¹⁾
