Hymn #34
Oh Stonehenge, When Will I Learn?
Sung to the ancient tune “Amazing Grace”
First Performed on the Failboat 05/04/2109, by Capt HawkeyeSinkOrSwim and the IC Tabernacle Choir
Oh Stonehenge, when will I learn
The evil you can be?
In jungle deep I once was lost
When you appeared to me.
At first, Stonehenge, my heart did fear
And them my fears assuaged.
I stepped into your circle clear.
And you my health erased.
Through many dangers, toils and snares
I fight with tooth and nail.
I turned to you for hope and help
My heart was filled with fail.
For many things you promise me
Your sight my hope secures.
You build my health, you give me joy
And long my life endures.
And now I've been here countless days
Your light shines as the sun.
You build me up, you break me down
I have lost as oft as won
So old Stonehenge, when will I learn
The evil you can be?
In jungle deep I once was lost
When you appeared to me
