To the tune of the Battle Hymn of the Republic
Mine eyes have seen the danger of the coming of the titan:
It is trampling out the Outposts where the contestants are fighting;
It hath loosed the fateful limpets which frankly sting like lightning:
Its might is marching on.
Danger, danger, run from it!
Danger, danger, run from it!
Danger, danger, run from it!
The titan marches on.
I have seen it in the Watcher of a single circling boat,
They have builded it an altar out of a big thing that floats;
I can read1) its righteous sentence2) which it wrote upon this note:
The night is marching on.
Danger, danger, run from it!
Danger, danger, run from it!
Danger, danger, run from it!
The titan marches on.
I have read a fiery gospel writ in burnished rows of cats:
“As ye deal with my contestants, so with you my might shall deal;
Let the Hero, born of woman3) crush the titan with his4) fists5),
Since the titan's marching on.”6)
Danger, danger, run from it!
Danger, danger, run from it!
Danger, danger, run from it!
Still titan is marching on.
She has sounded forth the trumpet that shall always call retreat;
She is sifting out the hearts of men7) before her judgment-seat:
Oh, be swift, my soul, to fight in cages on the Failboat!
But the titan marches on.
Danger, danger, run from it!
Danger, danger, run from it!
Danger, danger, run from it!
But titan is marching on.
In the beauty of the seaweed the titan came across the sea,
With great danger in its bosom that transfigures you and me8):
As it died to make men richer, let us fight to kill the drive,
The titan has been killed.
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
The titan has been killed.
Another one is coming from Cyberville the town,
It is heading towards Newhome unless its destroyed as well,
And more will keep on coming so we can't defeat them all,
More titans're marching on.
Danger, danger, run from them!
Danger, danger, run from them!
Danger, danger, run from them!
We'll never kill them all.
