Duane was named after some distand ancestor who was apparently a big shot in his time.  We found no creditable data about him though.  When Duane turned 5 his family moved to the United Countries. >>How to sum up my first month on [[..improbable_island|this island]].  Let's see I got dropped in from a plane, butt ass naked.  Got yelled at.  Spent quite a bit of time in the [[..jungle|Jungle]] with little to no clothes and random objects for weapons.  Helped out [[..quests#jill|a fellow lost soul]] for a while than went back to working alone.  My first week I was really feeling the improvement which seemed to have slowed down after that.  Not that that is that odd though.  Some also showed me how to [[..timed_fighting|time my attacks]].  This is suppose to help do more against the monsters.  In my third week here I spent the first half of the week on the [[..failboat|Failboat]], mostly due to random chance.  The second half I spent cursed by a [[..joker|joker]]... not much better.  I also got a [[..quests#various_assorted_and_lies|encrypted message]] from the Corporal... I think he's insane.  I could not find the museum curator anywhere, so I bought a [[..budget_horse|Budget Horse]], named Tim, and [[..travel|set off]] for the other [[..cities|cities]] to [[..quests#tea_with_the_fetching_mr_stern|pick up some items]].  Made it to the [[..improbable_central|Improbable Central]] and [[..kittania|Kittania]] easy enough, but when I got to [[..squat_hole|Squat Hole]] it had been breached and was under attack.  I tried to go to [[..new_pittsburg|New Pitt]] instead, but it was the same there.  So I went back to [[..a_short_treatise_on_the_inhabitants_history_and_customs_of_squathole|Squat Hole]] and help them get rid of their monster problem.  Now I'm in New Pitt helping the [[..zombie|zombies]] do the same.  Never thought I'd be helping zombies fight off monsters... never thought I'd be helping zombies.  This place is insane.  Oh and did I mention they've got cameras everywhere filming this all for some [[..reality_tv|reality TV]] show.\\
