When Einstein said "I am not only a pacifist but a militant pacifist. I am willing to fight for peace. Nothing will end war unless the people themselves refuse to go to war." He clearly did not envisage this kind of thing. As you are about to finish off your latest conquest, you feel the solid 'Thump" of a fairly substantial bludgeon across your back. Someone screams into your ear, "leave that poor creature alone!" You point out, quite reasonably, that the multi-eyed horror at your feet had, until quite recently been engaged in a spirited attempt to find out what your spleen tasted like. "You startled it. It's a sensitive and shy creature!" shouts the Militant Pacifist. You further point out that this "sensitive and shy" . . . Thing had introduced itself to you by sinking its teeth into your leg from hiding. "You invaded its territory! they really are beautiful and misunderstood creatures!" the Militant Pacifist yells back at you. You point out that no harm was done. this end of the jungle seems to be infested with these miserable abominations. "Fascist!" screams the Militant pacifist, and he advances on you, swinging his sign. Looks like it's time to fight.
